Janice Ransom

Janice has studied dance since the age of three and has over forty five years of teaching experience in all phases of dance for all ages. Her students have won competitions on state, local, and national levels!

Many of her students are now on college dance, twirl, and cheer teams. Many have gone on to become instructors themselves. Janice has studied in New York with many famous dancers across America. She is a former N.B.T.A. teacher and judge and has taught numerous dance and twirling clinics throughout Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. Not only is she known for instruction to advanced students, she is also noted for her work with young beginner students.

Shawn Ransom Parker

Shawn is the co-owner of Dance Generation. She has studied dance, baton, and gymnastics since the age of three and has over twenty years of teaching experience. Shawn twirled four years for the Auburn University marching band and served two years as a captain. She has taught dance and twirl clinics throughout Alabama and Florida. Shawn has performed at the Sugar Bowl and All American Bowls as well as Walt Disney World and for the New Orleans Saints and Birmingham's Canadian Football Teams. She has had experience in all phases of dance, baton, and gymnastics.

Her students have won numerous dance and twirling competitions in Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia. Shawn has studied dance with many of the nation's leading dance instructors across the United States.

Both Janice and Shawn continue to expand their education by participating in various conventions and workshops across the country. This allows them to provide students with current techniques and choreography.

All classes are personally taught by Mrs. Janice or Mrs. Shawn.
